‘Could be a messy one’ – Sky Sports pundit predicts Aston Villa clash v Bolton
By Abigail Withey
Sky Sports pundit David Prutton believes that Aston Villa will secure a strong victory over Bolton in their Championship clash on Saturday.
Phil Parkinson’s side will travel to Villa Park at the weekend to face the Claret and Blues in their eleventh match of the campaign.
Prutton has predicted that Steve Bruce’s men will manage a 3-0 win over the northern outfit due to Bolton’s current form in the competition.
“This could be a messy one,” Prutton wrote on the Sky Sports website.
“Bolton are having a bit of a nightmare, it’s too early to say they’re doomed but it’s never a good sign when you can’t score and can’t stop conceding.
“They’re also meeting Aston Villa on an upswing, it’s amazing how quickly things can change, and I think they’ll put a few past Phil Parkinson’s side.”
After a string of frustrating draws in the Championship Bruce’s side seem to have finally found their feet.
Villa most recently secured a triumphant 4-0 win over Burton Albion away at the Pirelli Stadium with goals courtesy of Keinan Davis, Albert Adomah, Robert Snodgrass and Josh Onomah.
They recent win took their point tally up to 16 and meant the club climbed to ninth place in the standings while upcoming opponents Bolton sit firmly at the bottom of the table in prime relegation position.
Parkinson’s side are yet to secure a single win this season and have suffered eight losses in the competition so far, which suggests that Villa are in prime position for a successful result on Saturday afternoon.
