Michael Dawson delivers Tottenham verdict
By Harvey Byrne
Former Tottenham defender Michael Dawson has labelled the current Spurs side as a “top team” following their 6-0 victory over Millwall.
The north London club ran out emphatic winners at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon in the FA Cup encounter.
Star striker Harry Kane ended up leaving the match early with an injury, but goals from Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, Vincent Janssen and a Son Heung-min hat-trick ensured their victory.
It was an impressive win for Tottenham without their star frontman and current Hull centre-back Dawson was nothing short of adulation for his old side.
“I thought Spurs dominated from minute one and seeing it first-hand, the way the team passes the ball, the way they play, I love the way they are set-up with the two wing-backs.

“This time it was Davies and Trippier, it has been Walker and Rose. The big disappointment was obviously losing Harry Kane but to have Christian Eriksen to come off the bench and score the opener, a great finish, shows the depth of the squad is incredible – and that’s why Spurs are a top team.”
Tottenham are currently sat in second place in the Premier League table with 10 points separating them from league leaders Chelsea.
It is the Blues who they will also be meeting at the FA Cup semi-final stage at Wembley as Spurs look to go all the way.
Tottenham ran out 2-0 winners the last time the two sides met at White Hart Lane in January through an Alli double.
Now, fans will be hoping for the same scoreline once more as they look to lift the FA Cup for the first time since 1991.
