Michael Owen delivers his verdict after Liverpool beat Stoke
By Amir Mir
Michael Owen hailed Liverpool on Twitter after they beat Stoke 4-1 at Anfield on Tuesday evening to close the gap on their title rivals.
Jurgen Klopp’s side came from a goal down to secure a much-needed three points as they are now just six points behind leaders Chelsea in the Premier League table.
Jonathan Walters had given the away side the lead when he headed in Erik Pieters’ cross after 12 minutes.
But the home side hit back by scoring two goals before the break through Adam Lallana and Roberto Firmino, with the latter scoring via both posts.
Giannelli Imbula then poked the ball into his own net, before substitute Daniel Sturridge punished a poor back pass from Ryan Shawcross to make sure of the points.

Great result from The Reds. Keeping tabs on Chelsea. Good fun covering the game for the worldwide feed with another ex red, Danny Murphy.

The Merseyside club have won 12 out of their 18 league games this season, only Antonio Conte’s men have won more with 15.
Klopp’s side are the top scorers in England’s top flight, they have netted 45 goals in their games, six more than their nearest contenders.
But they have shipped in 21 goals this term, more than any other team in the top six, with Chelsea conceding the least amount of goals with 11.
