Michael Owen predicts Tottenham v Chelsea

By Emma Sanders

Michael Owen has predicted a match full of goals in the clash between Tottenham and Chelsea on Wednesday evening and he is expecting it to be played in a hostile atmosphere.

The BT Sport pundit and former Liverpool striker claims it could be the “best” game of the festive period but he did not make a specific scoreline prediction for the eagerly anticipated showdown.

The two teams go head-to-head at White Hart Lane on Wednesday evening and Owen recommended putting a bet on both teams to score at 13/20.

“The final PL game of the festive period could turn out to be the best. This a game just too close to call although I do expect to see goals in a game which I expect to see played in a white-hot atmosphere,” Owen told Bet Victor.

Tottenham currently trail Chelsea by 10 points in the Premier League but Mauricio Pochettino’s side could move up into third place if they pick up a victory.

It will be a tough task as Chelsea have won a remarkable 13 league games in a row since losing 3-0 against Arsenal at the Emirates and they could record their 14th victory on the bounce against Tottenham.

That would break Arsenal’s long-standing record and it would also give Chelsea an eight point lead over Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table.

Spurs have been in good form recently, too, and they recorded a 4-1 victory over Watford in their last league fixture, their fourth in succession.

But Chelsea also netted four past Stoke as they won 4-2 at Stamford Bridge on New Year’s Eve.
