Mills delivers two-word verdict on Leeds potentially signing Traore after in-person sighting
There is “no chance” of Leeds United pursuing a move for Wolves winger Adama Traore, according to Danny Mills.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former England and Whites full-back claimed the 25-year-old was a Championship player who had an incredible run of form but has shown he cannot put in consistent performances.
The Spain international scored six goals and provided 12 assists in a breakthrough campaign last season.
However, this term he is yet to find the net and has contributed just one assist and Mills has insisted this is evidence the Yorkshire giants do not need him.
Asked by Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley for his verdict on Leeds signing Traore, he delivered a two-word response: “No chance”.

He added: “From what I’ve seen from Adama Traore, absolutely no chance.
“His numbers are terrible. When you look at goals and assists this season it’s really, really poor.
“I was at the Aston Villa v Wolves game live and he was poor.
“All the great attributes that you know he’s got – pace, power and acceleration, he didn’t use any of them.
“It was Pedro Neto who by far looked the better player, the fittest player for Wolves.
“I think Adama Traore had an incredible spell but there are reasons why he was playing in the Championship at Middlesborough, there are reasons why he is not at Barcelona anymore.
“There are reasons why a big club hasn’t taken a gamble on him and maybe we’re starting to see that now.
“Maybe that consistency isn’t there.”
