Mills hails 'brilliant' Tottenham players and tells fans to 'look at the big picture'
Danny Mills has slammed Harry Kane’s Tottenham teammates for their “mediocre” and unpredictable performances this season.
The former Manchester City defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted Kane “can’t do it alone” for the North London side.
As quoted by the Daily Mail (September 22nd), Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo insisted the England star has “much more to give” after his slow start this season.
Kane is goalless in 288 Premier League minutes so far this season after making his Tottenham return from the bench against Wolves in August.
The striker was the subject of transfer interest from Manchester City during the summer window.
As per FBref, Tottenham have the fewest expected goals in the Premier League with a tally of 4.6.

As such, Mills contrasted Spurs’ attacking options with those of Manchester United, who added Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.
“Sometimes it happens,” he told Football Insider‘s Connor Whitley.
“Four or five games isn’t really a goal drought, and he missed the first couple so maybe he wasn’t fully up to speed.
“He’s playing in a team where you’re not quite sure which Tottenham are going to turn up.
“In a couple of games, they’ve been brilliant – against Chelsea, they were mediocre. You have to look at the bigger picture.
“He can’t do it alone. Look at Ronaldo. He’s gone to United, but he’s got Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes etcetera. Players who can assist and drag others out of position.
“Let’s not judge Harry Kane just yet.”
Kane has taken just four shots in as many league appearances this term.
The Spurs hitman has the opportunity to break his league duck against fierce North London rivals Arsenal tomorrow (September 26th).
