Llorente and Leeds teammate 'like two new signings' after exciting reveal
Danny Mills has suggested Diego Llorente and Rodrigo will be “like new signings” for Leeds United next season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Whites and England defender insisted fans should not be worried about the club’s lack of transfer business this summer.
Director of football Victor Orta told the Phil Hay show at the end of May he wanted to complete all his business before pre-season begins.
Left-back Junior Firpo arrived a Thorp Arch in time but since then Leeds have only added Kristoffer Klesson to the squad from last season.
But Mills has insisted this is not a “major problem”.
He told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Leeds United were only going to be tweaked in terms of the first-team squad.

“You’ve obviously got Kalvin Phillips coming back from international duty so he might need nursing through the first month.
“It’s a settled team. You had players who didn’t play too much last season, like Llorente who is coming back into it now. Rodrigo should be fit now. They are almost like two new signings.
“You’ve got the nucleus of a side that did very, very well and have a complete understanding of the style of play and everything else.
“I don’t have too many concerns. If Leeds haven’t got in all their players yet I don’t think it’s a major problem.”
Leeds’ priority will now be a central midfielder after missing out on Conor Gallagher to Crystal Palace.
Football Insider learned on 31 July Lewis O’Brien is keen to join from Huddersfield Town with talks underway.
