Mills shares 'incredible' Everton prediction amid Nuno twist today
Danny Mills has claimed Everton can break into the Premier League’s top six under Nuno Espirito Santo.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Leeds United and England defender claimed Nuno did an “incredible” job at Wolves and is an “incredibly good fit” for the Toffees.
Football Insider revealed yesterday (June 15) Everton have made contact with Antonio Conte as they have yet to secure an agreement with Nuno.
This site learned on Friday (June 11) that Everton had reignited negotiations with the Portugese after talks with Crystal Palace collapsed.
Asked whether Nuno could lead Everton back into the top-six, Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I can’t see why not.
“He’s done incredibly well with Wolves. The players he brought in were better than the Championship but in the first two seasons in the Premier League they were exceptional. To finish seventh was incredible.

“The third season was always going to be difficult especially when he lost Jota and Doherty and Jimenez for a long, long period.
“Unless Everton are going to go huge and go and get another Ancelotti-esque figure that’s going to cost them millions… If you look at the style of football they want to play with the players he’s got at Everton it should be an incredibly good fit.”
Nuno spent four years in charge of Wolves and guided them to consecutive seventh-place finishes as well as a Europa League quarter-final.
However, in the recently-completed campaign Wolves finished down in 13th.
