Whelan backs Everton to sign 'ideal' Richarlison replacement as £90m deal mooted
Noel Whelan claims Pedro Neto could be the ideal replacement for Richarlison if he leaves Everton this summer.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, predicts the Blues will let the Brazilian leave if a substantial bid comes in.
On 14th June, Football Insider revealed Everton are planning moves for Wolves duo Conor Coady and Pedro Neto.
The Merseysiders are in advanced talks with Nuno, 47, and are hopeful of finalising a deal in the coming days.
Neto, 21, made 31 Premier League appearances last season, scoring five goals and picking up six assists.
On 3rd June, this site revealed Carlo Ancelotti is keen to bring Richarlison to Real Madrid.

The Blues reportedly rejected an £85million bid from Barcelona for the Brazilian in January 2020.
Whelan insists Richarlison still commands a large fee despite a disappointing haul of seven league goals last season.
When asked if Neto could be an ideal Richarlison replacement, Whelan told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild, “Yeah, he could be.
“They did well to palm away that bid from Barcelona last year but he wasn’t the same player last season.
“Managers know their players and if they go to another club they will try and tempt the best players to come with them.
“He will command a very large fee, between £80 and £90million I would think.
“That will allow Everton to go out there in the transfer market and bring in players that will help Everton progress.
“They have to progress now. Last season we expected them to break into the top six but it never materialised.
“If Richarlison goes, Neto could be the man to come in. He’s very similar.”
