Mills shares Liverpool v Arsenal claim after injury update today
Liverpool are still favourites for today’s showdown against Arsenal despite their extensive injury list, according to Danny Mills.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Premier League and England defender warned critics to write Liverpool off “at your peril”.
Jurgen Klopp confirmed in his pre-game press conference yesterday (19 November) that Jordan Henderson and Andy Robertson are major doubts for the game after picking up injuries representing their countries during the international break.
He did confirm Sadio Mane and Fabinho should be available while Roberto Firmino and Naby Keita were already ruled out earlier this week.
Asked whether the host’s injury list may make Arsenal favourites on Saturday, Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I’m not sure, Liverpool are still a very, very good side still so write them off at your peril.
“Jurgen Klopp will know now there is an opportunity now other teams have slipped up. They will know a win could easily take them up to second place at the weekend.

“Man City haven’t got an easy game at the weekend against Everton. West Ham are there or thereabouts.
“Liverpool have just got to keep pushing, keep pushing. They might have lost one against West Ham recently but they are still in a really good form.”
Arsenal are just one place and two points behind Klopp’s side ahead of this weekend’s game so a win would see them leapfrog the Reds into the top four.
It would also extend their unbeaten run across all competitions to 10 games as Mikel Arteta continues to steady the ship after their poor start to the season.
