Mills suggests West Brom refusing to pay Robinson after Sky update
West Brom should refuse to pay Callum Robinson’s wages if he misses any more games with covid and continues to refuse to get the vaccine.
That is the view of ex-Premier League and England defender Danny Mills, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after Robinson revealed his vaccine status.
As reported by Sky News (October 6), the forward insisted it was “my choice” and he may change his decision.
Robinson picked up the virus in November 2020 and in August of this year which resulted in him missing crucial games for the Republic of Ireland.
And Mills has suggested if he tests positive for a third time and misses games for West Brom they should sanction him.
He told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Is it a failure of the clubs? Is it a failure of the FA to inform these players that having the vaccine is the best thing to do?”

“If these players don’t want to take the vaccine, then please, come out and give the medical reasons why.
“In the NBA, if you miss a game because you have covid and don’t have the vaccine, you don’t get paid. Why can’t that be the same in football?
“We’re not talking about Karen on Facebook, this is scientists. Every country has had a vaccine rollout.
“It’s 2/3rds in the Premier League that haven’t had the vaccine, I would love to know why.
“At what point are these players thinking ‘I’m not going to do this’ because clearly, the medical advice will be to do it. All these doctors are very, very similar on this.
“If they’re intelligent and informed enough to not take it, then come out and say why.”
In other news, West Brom could be set for a “huge blow” after an injury update.
