Mills tips Roberts for Leeds axe after early team news pre-Chelsea
Danny Mills has tipped Rodrigo Moreno to replace Tyler Roberts in the Leeds United starting XI against Chelsea on Saturday.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Whites and England defender warned Leeds they will have to have their best players performing at the top of the game to get anything out of the game.
Rodrigo returned to first-team action on Monday night against West Ham United after missing six games with a groin injury.
He replaced Roberts after on the hour mark at the London Stadium but failed to make an impact as the Yorkshire giants fell to a 2-0 defeat.
Prior to his injury, Rodrigo was a mainstay in Marcelo Bielsa’s starting XI and was on a run of nine consecutive starts.
Used as a striker at his former club Valencia, the 30-year-old has operated behind Patrick Bamford in Bielsa’s system.

The 35-time Spain international has three goals and one assist in his 19 Premier League appearances this term.
Asked whether he expects Rodrigo to start at Elland Road in the place of Roberts, Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Yes, quite possibly.
“He’s a quality player, isn’t he?
“The form that Chelsea are in, they’ve shown Leeds are going to have to be at their very best with all their players out there playing well to perform.”
Chelsea are unbeaten in all competitions since Thomas Tuchel replaced Frank Lampard as head coach at the end of January.
In their 11 games under the German, the Blues have conceded just twice in a win over Sheffield United and draw with Southampton.
