Mills worries for Tottenham after injury update on Heung-Min Son
Heung-Min Son will be a big miss for Tottenham if he has not recovered in time for Sunday’s clash against Aston Villa, according to Danny Mills.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Leeds United and England defender insisted Son sets the tone for Tottenham and his presence was hugely missed in their woeful Europa League exit on Thursday night.
Jose Mourinho told the Tottenham website ahead of their 3-0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb that the South Korean was “very doubtful” for their trip to Aston Villa on Sunday.
The Portuguese fears he will need the upcoming international break to fully recover after limping off in the first half of their 2-1 defeat to Arsenal.
Son has featured in every league game this season and Mills insisted his leadership qualities will be a big miss on Sunday.
He told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “When you talk about attitude, he sets the tone. He’s the one who’s like ‘you know what, I’m going to run in behind. I’m going to chase people. I will get on the ball. I will chase a lost cause.’ All those types of things are vitally important.

“He’s that leader, not from being vocal but his attitude shows people.
“It’s very rare that you would say Son’s attitude isn’t bang on. He might have a bad game but it’s very rare you question his work rate or his attitude.”
Son has scored 18 times and provided 16 assists in 41 appearances across all competitions for Spurs this campaign.
Harry Kane and Son have combined for 14 league goals this season – a Premier League record.
