Bartosz Bialkowski is set to undergo a Millwall medical today as he puts the finishing touches to a loan move from Ipswich Town, Football Insider understands.
The Poland international goalkeeper has agreed the terms of a season-long loan move to the Den, just weeks after the plug was pulled on his permanent move to the club.
A Millwall source has told Football Insider that Lions forward Elliott is set to head in to opposite direction to Portman Road as part of a swap deal agreed with Ipswich.
Both players are due to begin medical tests today, and there is growing confidence among the Millwall and Ipswich hierarchies that the loan swap will be completed within 24 hours.
It comes after the Lions called a halt to their permanent pursuit of Bialkowski at the eleventh hour, earlier in the window, amid concerns regarding his knee.
Millwall have rekindled their interest in the keeper as boss Neil Harris is desperate to bolster his goalkeeping options and they have offered striker Elliott in a swap deal to push it over the line.
The Championship club are busy finalising new signing, with Football Insider revealing that they are on the verge of signing Wycombe Wanderers defender Jason McCarthy as he also undergoes a medical today.
Ipswich chief Paul Lambert has been searching for a new striker throughout the transfer window and Elliott will help solve his problem.
Bialkowski is an experienced keeper at Championship level and has made 177 starts and one sub appearance for Ipswich since signing from Notts County in the summer of 2014 on a free transfer.
In other Millwall news, it can be REVEALED that the club are now poised to sign a 25-year-old as offer accepted.
