Confirmed: Frozen-out Leeds 25-year-old handed recall for Fulham clash
By Will Butcher
Modou Barrow has revealed that Marcus Antonsson has been recalled to the Leeds squad to face Fulham on Tuesday evening.
Antonsson, 25, has struggled since his arrival in Yorkshire, scoring just three goals all season and was left out of the matchday 18 for Friday’s 3-1 win against Birmingham City after being named in Leeds’ Under-23s side earlier in the day.
However, on-loan winger Barrow revealed on his personal Twitter account that Antonsson was on the coach to Craven Cottage with his Leeds teammates by taking a selfie with the striker.

Antonsson has played second fiddle for the entirety of the season to New Zealand international Chris Wood, who is now the Championship’s top scorer with 22 league goals.
It has seen the Swede drop into Jason Blunt’s development side on a number of occasions this season, after making just six Championship starts in the entirety of the campaign for the Yorkshire giants.

Indeed, Antonsson has been frozen out to the point that he has not even made the substitute’s bench for Leeds’ last five games.
With just one Championship goal to his name, the former Kalmar FF striker will be hoping to be given a chance to add to his tally against Slavisa Jokanovic’s side.
Fulham come into the game in a wonderful run of form, winning four out of their last five Championship encounters against the likes of Preston, Bristol City and Nottingham Forest.
The Cottagers have the chance to climb into the play-offs with a win, while Leeds could leapfrog Huddersfield into third place if the Terriers lose at home to Aston Villa.
