Mohamed Salah sends Liverpool fans intriguing message about ‘next season’
Mohamed Salah couldn’t resist a playful reminder to Liverpool fans after helping seal the club’s first Premier League title under Arne Slot.
Liverpool swept aside Tottenham with a commanding 5-1 win, a result that officially crowned them champions of England in Slot’s debut season.
Goals from Salah, Luis Diaz, Alexis Mac Allister, Cody Gakpo and an own goal from Destiny Udogie wrapped up a historic afternoon at Anfield.
Salah has been in blistering form for Liverpool throughout the campaign, was once again among the scorers, further strengthening his lead in the Golden Boot race with 28 goals.
However, it was the triumph of securing the title that took centre stage for the winger, who later shared a light-hearted post with supporters, recalling a previous message he had sent them.
Mohamed Salah cements Liverpool legend status with Premier League title win
Salah had an amusing message for fans on X after quoting a post he shared at the end of last season, following Liverpool’s disappointing finish to Jurgen Klopp’s final campaign.
At the time, his message read: “We know that trophies are what count and we will do everything possible to make that happen next season. Our fans deserve it and we will fight like hell.” One year later, Salah simply quoted the same tweet with a wink emoji — a fitting response after Liverpool’s triumphant campaign.
Earlier this month, Liverpool secured Salah’s contract extension, easing concerns over his potential departure at the end of the season.
Following his goal against Tottenham, Salah has now overtaken Sergio Aguero in the Premier League’s all-time goalscorers list, becoming the highest-scoring international player in the league’s history with 185 goals.
Although Liverpool are yet to agree a new deal for Trent Alexander-Arnold, securing the futures of Salah and Virgil van Dijk has been viewed as a major victory for the club.

Liverpool target Ollie Watkins as summer rebuild begins
Despite Salah’s remarkable season in front of goal, the Reds are expected to strengthen their attacking options this summer, with Darwin Nunez’s future at Anfield uncertain.
Football Insider has revealed that Liverpool are leading the race to sign Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins, ahead of interest from Arsenal.
Slot is thought to be dissatisfied with his current options in attack and could offer the Englishman the opportunity to become Liverpool’s first-choice striker. With the lure of joining the newly-crowned Premier League champions, the move could prove too tempting for Watkins to turn down.
