Moises Caicedo and Nicolas Jackson respond to Joao Felix’s USA message

Joao Felix shared an update from the United States and it didn’t go unnoticed by some of his Chelsea teammates.

The Blues are currently competing in the Club World Cup but Chelsea suffered a 3-1 defeat to Flamengo in their latest outing,

Felix, however, has not been part of the squad, having been left out following a disappointing loan spell at AC Milan.

The Portugal international’s absence has only fuelled rumours of an imminent exit, with Chelsea expected to make a decision on Felix’s future this summer as they look to revamp their attacking options, with an exit looking likely.

While his teammates were battling in the tournament, Felix appeared relaxed in the US and his update drew a reaction on social media.

Chelsea weigh up Joao Felix exit as teammates react to Miami update

Former Atletico Madrid forward Felix shared a series of photos on Instagram from Miami Beach, Florida, captioned: “Miami 4.0”.

The post drew reactions from several Chelsea teammates including Moises Caicedo, Nicolas Jackson and Pedro Neto, as well as Manchester City’s new signing Tijjani Reijnders, who all liked the update.

Despite the sunny scenes in the US, Felix’s future at the club appears increasingly uncertain. Football Insider revealed back in March that Chelsea are prepared to listen to offers for Felix this summer.

The club are hoping to recoup a significant portion of the £44.5million they paid to bring him in last year, although there is an acceptance internally that they may have to take a financial hit.

Supporters have had their say and Chelsea fans have called for Felix to be moved on following his underwhelming return to Stamford Bridge and a disappointing loan spell at AC Milan during the second half of last season.

As Chelsea prepare for potential outgoings in attack, they are also looking to strengthen their forward line, with Mohamed Kudus emerging as a target.

Reports have revealed that Chelsea remain in contact over a possible deal for Kudus, as a possible replacement for Noni Madueke, who has been continuously linked with an exit.

If Felix is sold and Madueke, who has interest from Tottenham and Newcastle, also departs, the need for new wide options will only increase. A winger is likely to be high on Enzo Maresca’s wishlist as he aims to build on the club’s return to the Champions League.
