Monk delivers Leeds injury update on Vieira ahead of Burton
By Dominic Toner
Garry Monk has revealed that Leeds midfielder Ronaldo Vieira will be available to return against Burton on Saturday.
The 18-year-old has missed the last two matches through illness and watched his side pick up just one point in that time.
The Whites have used a midfield combination of Kalvin Phillips and Liam Bridcutt recently, but Vieira will be in contention to regain his spot in the starting line-up.
Monk has explained that the teenage sensation has recovered from his illness and could feature in the crucial Championship game against Burton.
“Ronaldo Vieira has illness over the last two games, but he is back in training and will be available on Saturday,” Monk said, as quoted by the club’s official Twitter account.

Leeds have slipped out of the play-offs due to their recent blip and all their hard work this season is under jeopardy.
The Yorkshire club will be boosted by the return of their box-to-box midfielder Vieira, who is enjoying a great season since breaking through the club’s academy.
He has been a regular in the starting line-up under Monk and made 35 appearances across all competitions.
The Whites have several talented midfielders competing for a starting spot, but youngster Vieira has certainly held his own.
In other Leeds team news, the club’s supporters reacted angrily as their player was omitted from the PFA team of the year.
