'Valued at £50m now' - Rangers fans blown away by summer signing display v Dundee
By James Black
Alfredo Morelos scored his sixth and seventh goals in five games for Rangers to help the Gers to a comfortable 4-1 win over Dundee and Rangers fans took to Twitter to praise the Colombian – with one fan calling him a “natural born goalscorer”
With four minutes left in the first 45, Morelos buried Daniel Candeias’ backheeled pass as ‘El Bufalo’ continued his fantastic start to life as a Rangers player.
The 21-year-old then grabbed a second near the end, firing beyond Scott Bain at his near-post.
Morelos helped himself to two goals last time out as he helped Caixinha’s side to a comfortable 3-1 win away to Ross County before the international break.
Fans also took the opportunity to poke fun at the reported value of Celtic striker Moussa Dembele, claiming Morelos is worth £50million using the “Dembele Calculator”.

Anyone else notice how sweat soaked Morelos shirt was compared to Millers? He must be doing a power of running.

And as things stand and with everyone missing sitters Morelos seems to be the only 1 able to find the back of the net.

Even in his early games you could see Morelos had something, he was desperate to score. All he needed was that first goal for him to kick on

Morelos has been a revelation since signing for Rangers from Finnish side HJK Helsinki in the summer and has immediately become a favourite with Ibrox fans with his work rate and finishing ability.
With the first Old Firm game just around the corner, Morelos’ rich vein of goalscoring form will impress manager Pedro Caixinha as he tries to push Celtic for the Scottish Premiership and stop Rangers’ bitter rivals winning a seventh consecutive title.
At only 21-years-of-age, the powerful striker could quickly find himself in demand as clubs look to Scotland more and more for under-valued talent.
Morelos signed a three-year deal at Ibrox after his £1million move from HJK and, if he maintains his impressive form, will surely move for much, much more before long.
Before that happens though, Bluenoses will be hoping ‘El Bufalo’ continues to bang the goals in as they look to win the title for the first time since 2011.
In other Rangers news, Derek Johnstone has urged the Gers to sign this Championship attacker.
