Morgan Gibbs-White reacts to ‘massive’ Nottingham Forest message by Alex Moreno
Morgan Gibbs-White has reacted to a message from his Nottingham Forest teammate Alex Moreno on social media.
The Spaniard started Tuesday evening’s 1-0 win against Man United on the bench, but was introduced in the 39th minute after an injury to Man City target Ola Aina.
Gibbs-White was a late inclusion to Thomas Tuchel’s first England squad, but failed to feature for the Three Lions during the international break.
The lack of game time allowed Nuno Espirito Santo to start the 25-year-old in both the win over United, and their victory over Brighton in the FA Cup on Saturday (29 March).

Alex Moreno ‘grateful’ after Nottingham Forest beat Man United
Following the win over United, the Tricky Trees have strengthened their hold on third place in the Premier League, with the club set to play in the Champions League for the first time since the 1980s.
Moreno posted a series of images from the match to Instagram, telling Forest fans: “Massive effort from the team to secure a huge win.
“Proud of this group and grateful for the incredible support from our fans!”
The post was then liked by Gibbs-White, showing support for the Spaniard who dealt well with the difficult task of being introduced at short notice in the first-half.
Nottingham Forest hope Champions League football can keep Gibbs-White as Liverpool and Man United interested
Football Insider Verdict
Gibbs-White has been one of the standout performers for Forest this season, in their unprecedented push for Champions League football.
However, as they close in on qualification to Europe’s premier competition, following the win over United, there will be concerns on the former Wolves man’s future at the City Ground.
Whilst playing in the Champions League is a major draw, Forest still lacks the pedigree of some of their rivals.

Gibbs-White and Jarrad Branthwaite were both initially omitted from Tuchel’s first England squad, with suggestions that their respective clubs status impacted the German’s decision.
The former Wolves attacking-midfielder will be keen to keep impressing, ahead of the 2026 World Cup, but he may look to move in order to better his chances of making England’s squad.
Liverpool and United are ready to go to battle to secure Gibbs-White’s signing, with Ruben Amorim reportedly a “big fan” of the 25-year-old.
United are unlikely to be able to offer Champions League football, barring them winning the Europa League this season, but Liverpool on the other hand stand atop of the Premier League.
