Morgan Gibbs-White sends emotional goodbye after confirmed Nottingham Forest exit
Morgan Gibbs-White has taken to social media to send an emotional farewell message after a Nottingham Forest departure was confirmed.
The midfielder has been at the club since his move from Wolves in 2022, making 106 Premier League appearances during his three years by the River Trent.
Nuno Espirito Santos’ side secured European football by finishing seventh last season, and the 25-year-old was pivotal, scoring seven goals and picking up eight assists.
Forest had a chance of clinching a Champions League spot on the final day, but were beaten 1-0 by Chelsea, which means they will be in the Conference League for the 2025/26 campaign.

Gibbs-White says farewell
Gibbs-White has been linked with a move to Arsenal, with Mikel Arteta’s side potentially prising the midfielder away from Nottingham Forest this summer.

However, the England international was bidding farewell to one of his current teammates, after it was confirmed that they would be leaving the club.
Defender Harry Toffolo, who has been on Trentside since his move from Huddersfield three years ago, will leave Forest when his contract expires at the end of June.
Gibbs-White reposted the club’s official announcement on his Instagram story, with the caption: “My heart hurts. Thank you for everything brother, good luck on your next chapter.”

Forest set for busy summer
Football Insider Verdict
After such an impressive season in the Premier League, there were always going to be clubs sniffing around and trying to get their hands on Forest’s best players.
As well as Gibbs-White being linked with a move away, Newcastle are reportedly interested in Anthony Elanga.
The winger dazzled at times for Espirito Santos’ side last season, scoring six goals and picking up 11 assists, as he featured in every single Premier League game.
However, it’s not all bad news at the City Ground, as Forest have raided Brazilian club Botafogo, and are set to confirm a triple-signing in the coming days.
It is expected that Igor Jesus, Cuiabano, and Jair Cunha will move to Nottingham for a combined fee of almost £30million.
