Morgan Gibbs-White will be ‘happy’ at Sean Dyche arrival at Nottingham Forest amid Ange Postecoglou claim

Sean Dyche is hoping to bring stability to Nottingham Forest after a turbulent start to the season at the City Ground.

Evangelos Marinakis fell out with Nuno Espirito Santo and sacked the now West Ham manager before appointing Ange Postecoglou.

Postecoglou lasted just 39 days at Nottingham Forest, and was sacked after failing to win a match at the club.

Sean Dyche is the third manager at the club this season and won his first match in charge against Porto before losing at Bournemouth.

Nottingham Forest stars may not have fancied Ange Postecoglou

Morgan Gibbs-White sent out a “difficult period” message after Nottingham Forest‘s defeat to Midjtylland under Postecoglou, whilst Ryan Yates had little to say on the Australian after he was sacked.

Speaking to Sky Sports, [30 October] Ashley Williams says Forest players may be happy that Postecoglou is not the club anymore.

I think this may be the case with Ange Postecoglou,” Williams said on whether Postecoglou may have made a first bad impression with the Forest players.

Just like Morgan Gibbs-White said we are reading through the lines, but that is all we’ve got to go off is what you tweet out or whatever you put out there.

Yates might have said nothing because he was annoyed for those ten seconds and then if you went back he might have wanted to have said something else so we can’t overly scrutinise what the players say all the time.

It is just the timings of it might have been wrong or they might have been saying we aren’t having Ange at all and we are happy that he’s gone, I don’t know we are playing a guessing game.

For Morgan Gibbs-White, for Nottingham Forest, for Sean Dyche it is a new start for them, it has been such a chaotic season, one of the most bizarre starts for a club that I’ve ever seen.

Sean Dyche is probably the right guy just to settle it down a little bit, play one brand of football, he understands clearly the league and what he wants from his team he makes that clear so for a player like Morgan Gibbs-White I bet he is happy because Sean Dyche will be saying I want you in these positions doing these jobs at these times in the game.

Nottingham Forest in relegation battle

Forest’s poor season so far has left the Tricky Trees in a relegation battle just months after they finished seventh and qualified for European football.

Three points adrift, Forest face a crucial clash against Leeds at the City Ground before the international break.

Dyche has to juggle Premier League and European commitments, in what may be his toughest test this season.
