‘Moyes will be sacked’, ‘Get a new manager’ – West Ham fans rage after Bristol City ‘humiliation’

Many West Ham United fans want David Moyes sacked after their “humiliation” against Bristol City on Tuesday evening (16 January).

The Hammers suffered a 1-0 defeat in their FA Cup third-round replay against the Robins after going behind after just three minutes.

A horrific back pass from summer signing Konstantinos Mavropanos fell to the path of Tommy Conway, who took the ball past Lukasz Fabianski and slotted home the early winner at Ashton Gate.

The Championship side held on to secure the upset, but Said Benrahma’s red card in the 51st for kicking out at Joseph Williams made their job much easier.

However, the Hammers faithful were very quick to level blame for the shock defeat at David Moyes, who has been heavily criticised by sections of the fanbase across the season.

His negative tactics and lack of attacking threat reared their head again in the FA Cup despite their impressive form in the Premier League.

This defeat was the final straw for the many supporters who have taken to social media to call for the “awful” Scotsman to be hauled out of the club for good.
