Multiple Tottenham sources tell me Spurs ‘confident’ of agreeing new Kane contract – insider

Tottenham could agree a new contract with Harry Kane which will see him spend the rest of his career with the club.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Kane, 28, was the centre of a transfer storm in the summer as he tried to force a move to Manchester City.

However, on 26 December, Fabrizio Romano reported the relationship between Kane and Antonio Conte is “more than good”.

Wenham predicts the striker will sign a new deal with the club in the near future after what he’s heard from well-placed sources.

“Kane has made it very well known that he’s enjoying working with Conte,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“I heard some little snippets from well-placed people that Tottenham are confident of agreeing a new contract with him.

“That would signal that he is going to spend his whole career at Tottenham.

“If you look at his age and the fact some top strikers are probably going to be available soon, Kane won’t be on the shopping list of the big clubs.

“I’ve heard some murmurings that Kane is very, very happy with Conte.

“I saw a report from Fabrizio Romano that said the same thing. It seems as though it is building towards a new deal.

“Personally, I think we will agree a new contract with Kane sooner rather than later.

“His form is really improving on the pitch and he continues to be a big player for us.”
