Nottingham Forest confirm Danilo exit as midfielder joins Botafogo
Nottingham Forest have officially announced that midfielder Danilo has completed a permanent move to Brazilian side Botafogo.
The club shared the news on Instagram with a farewell message that read: “We can confirm that Danilo has completed a permanent transfer to Botafogo. Everyone at Forest thanks Danilo for his contribution while at the Club, wishing him the very best for the next stage of his career.”

Danilo joined Forest from Palmeiras in January 2023 and made 62 appearances for the club, scoring six goals. However, the 24-year-old was limited to just 13 appearances during the 2024/25 campaign after suffering a broken ankle on the opening day of the season.
Despite his injury struggles, Forest have recouped around £16 million for the midfielder as he returns to his home country.
