Murty confirms Rangers talks ongoing as Mark Allen moves to secure key deal

Rangers manager Graeme Murty has confirmed that the club is in talks with a number of players over extending their contracts.
Murty was talking in the pre-match press conference ahead of the game with Hamilton on Sunday and revealed that key talks were going on but that he wouldn’t discuss these in public until the deals are completed.
His quotes were put out on the official Rangers Twitter page on Thursday lunchtime.

This comes after James Tavernier signed a new contract which will keep him at Rangers until 2021.
Now it looks like Rangers are moving quickly to tie more players down on long-term deals.
Murty explained that he was talking to the players about the size of Rangers and the “vision of what we are trying to build.”

Murty also said that he was using Tavernier as an example to the other players and that director of football Mark Allen was also explaining the short, medium and long-term vision for the club.

Rangers play Hamilton in a 2.15pm kick-off away from home on Sunday, in front of the Sky Sports cameras.
