Myles Beerman sends Twitter message to Rangers fans after Ibrox debut

By Harvey Byrne

Rangers youngster Myles Beerman spoke of the “great experience” on Twitter after making his debut at Ibrox on Saturday against Partick Thistle.

The 18-year-old left-back made his third appearance for the Gers at the weekend, starting on the left side of the defence and playing out the full 90 minutes.

His display looked like one from a seasoned professional and the youngster showed that he had the confidence to take on the opposition defence with a number a surging runs up the pitch.

The teenager didn’t contribute towards the goals with Kenny Miller and Jon Toral both getting on the score sheet in the 2-0 win, but Beerman was keen to post on his personal Twitter account that it was great experience playing in front of 50,000 fans.

Beerman only made his senior debut for Rangers earlier in the month for the 0-0 draw against Kilmarnock, filling in for the injured Lee Wallace at the back.

He has since helped his side to three consecutive clean sheets alongside fellow youngster David Bates in the Gers’ back line.

He will be hoping to see more first team football before the league season finishes in five matches time and he could even feature in next Sunday’s Old Firm Scottish Cup semi-final clash.
