Ndombele departure all but certain after what I've just seen at Tottenham - pundit
Kevin Phillips is certain Tanguy Ndombele will exit Tottenham before the transfer window closes.
The Sunderland legend, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to the latest on the midfielder’s future.
A Tottenham source has revealed to Football Insider that Ndombele wants to quit the club before the 31 August cut-off.
It is understood that new boss Nuno Espirito Santo has frozen the Frenchman out as a result.
The midfielder could be one of a number of late-window big name departures with Harry Kane also pushing hard for the exit door.
Ndombele was not involved in Tottenham’s UEFA Conference League clash last Thursday or today’s Premier League clash against Wolves.

Phillips insists his absence is proof that Ndombele’s days at the club are numbered.
“He clearly hasn’t settled at Tottenham,” Phillips told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He went through a period where he was excellent but we haven’t seen that enough.
“It just happens sometimes. For him to not play on Thursday, that tells me he’s gone.
“I’m sure it will happen, he’s on big wages and they won’t want him there when the window shuts.
“That could become an issue when Nuno is trying to build something there.
“It’s a shame because I think he’s a really good player on his day.”
Ndombele did not make a single appearance for Tottenham in pre-season.
He was absent for the Premier League opener against Manchester City as Nuno got his reign off to an impressive win.
