Ndombele has played his last game for Tottenham as controversial footage emerges - pundit

Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed Tanguy Ndombele has played his last game for Tottenham.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker delivered his verdict after Ndombele was booed off during Spurs’ 3-1 win over Morecambe on Sunday (10 January).

The midfielder walked off slowly when being replaced by Lucas Moura and was encouraged by his teammates to hurry up as his side were 1-0 down at the time.

As quoted by Sky Sports on Monday (10 January), Antonio Conte insisted the Frenchman needs to work harder to ensure the fans are happy.

“Sometimes players can do things like that when they’re a bit annoyed and being brought off,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.

“When you’re not having a good game you know. It’s different if you’re having a great game and being brought off, maybe you’ve got a right to do that but when you’ve been as poor as he has, just run off the field quicker. It’s a really bad sign.

“A manager like Conte, he’s the last manager you do that to. Your team is 1-0 down and you’re strolling off the pitch, I think that could be his last game for Spurs.

“I don’t think Conte will be bothered about him being a £60million player, he will get rid and he won’t play again for Spurs.”

Ndombele has made just one Premier League start since Conte was appointed as manager at the beginning of November last year (2021).

He is under contract in north London until the summer of 2025.
