New Rangers signing to breathe a sigh of relief after Sean Dyche update
Rangers are once again stuck in the difficult position of trying to find a new managerial figure to lead the club away from desperate times.
Rangers sacked Russell Martin after 123 days in charge during what was an absolutely catastrophic tenure at Ibrox, one which saw the Gers win just five of his 17 competitive games at the helm.
The Gers have sunk to eighth in the Scottish Premiership table after seven matches, with the current squad holding a negative goal difference, also losing both of their Europa League ties.
Martin was facing a losing battle against the frustrated supporters, and who can blame them? Very few were happy with his appointment, and even fewer were accepting of the amount of time he was given.

Sean Dyche unlikely to be Russell Martin’s replacement at Ibrox
With the search for a new manager in full flow, Sean Dyche has already been ruled out to replace Martin, with the likes of Derek McInnes, Danny Rohl, and Steven Gerrard now in the mix.
The former Everton figure has long been linked with a move to Ibrox, really ever since he was sacked at Goodison Park, but there is no doubt that he would bring some much-needed expertise to Scotland.
One player, however, will have been fearing for his future at the club amid rumours of his arrival due to his history with the manager at his previous club.

Youssef Chermiti has struggled at Rangers so far this season, failing to live up to his £10million price tag after signing across the dotted line from Everton during the summer transfer window.
Why Youssef Chermiti will have feared Sean Dyche’s appointment
Chermiti signed for the Toffees for £15million back in 2023, and during his first season on Merseyside, the 21-year-old was handed just a single start, appearing as a substitute in 19 other games, and failing to score.
The season after, he played just 42 minutes of football in the Premier League, though his 2024/25 campaign was seriously blighted by separate injuries.
After splashing so much on him during the summer of 2023, fans expected him to have a much bigger impact on the team as the Toffees fought against relegation and points deductions.
Dyche, however, clearly didn’t rate the player, giving him very few chances to impress over the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto, and that situation would be likely to occur once again.
Even after the departures of Hamza Igamane and Cyriel Dessers, Bojan Miovski and Danilo appear much better suited to his style of football, which would inevitably see Chermiti completely forgotten about.
