Newcastle fans fume at ‘insane’ Nick Pope as full comeback stats emerge
Newcastle made an immediate response to their embarrassing defeat against Man City by defeating Nottingham Forest on Sunday (23 February).
The Magpies had to come from behind to defeat Forest 4-3 after Callum Hudson-Odoi gave his team the lead in a moment that left Newcastle fans puzzeled in regards to Nick Pope’s position.
Newcastle responded with four goals in the space of 11 minutes with Alexander Isak scoring a brace while Lewis Miley and Jacob Murphy got themselves on the scoresheet.
Eddie Howe’s side were then forced to cling onto the win in the second half after goals from Nikola Milenkovic and Ryan Yates pushed Forest back into the game.
Newcastle managed to do exactly that as they picked up an important three points in their quest for Champions League football.
The Magpies overtook Aston Villa, Chelsea, and Bournemouth to move into fifth place in the Premier League.

Nick Pope’s mistake didn’t prove costly
Pope came back into the team for the first time in the past 10 Premier League matches, replacing Martin Dubravka in goal.
The England international had been dealing with a knee injury which kept him out of the team, but he has now returned to the squad.

Newcastle fans are questioning Nick Pope’s future
Newcastle fans were less than impressed by Pope’s performance as they questioned his “insane” positioning for the first goal of the game, which was compared to the quality of Soccer Aid matches.
Fans have already called for him to be dropped, stating he should be “nowhere near that team going forward.
