'Absolutely beautiful', 'Amazing': Newcastle fans go potty over one player after win v Leicester

Newcastle United got their third straight victory in the Premier League against Leicester City on Saturday afternoon at the King Power Stadium with a 2-1 win against Claude Puel’s side.

Jonjo Shelvey opened the scoring for the Magpies with a neat placed finish outside of the box in the first-half.

Ayoze Perez made it 2-0 late on in the game with a sensational chip when through on goal over Kasper Schmeichel to leave the Foxes stopper with no chance.

It was a goal that was reminiscent of Philippe Albert’s lob over Peter Schmeichel in the 1996 5-0 win against Manchester United.

The home side threatened to spoil the journey to the East Midlands when Jamie Vardy got his name on the scoresheet in the 83rd minute, however, it was too little too late for the Foxes.

But it was the goal of Perez that had North East supporters celebrating as they climbed to tenth in the Premier League table and worries of a return to the Championship now a distant memory.
