Newcastle fans rage at Jim Ratcliffe after ‘corrupt’ Man United claim

Newcastle United fans are raging at Man United owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe after he suggested the big six clubs should have more of a deciding vote in English football.

The owner insisted the big six clubs “drive” the Premier League and called for them to have more influence over decision-making.

As things stand, the 20 Premier League clubs have an equal vote on issues and decisions regarding rules and the future of the division.

Ratcliffe believes this is a “disadvantage” to clubs like Man United, who he says should have a more important vote than some of the smaller clubs.

Newcastle and Aston Villa have posed the biggest threat to the big six in recent years with their Champions League qualification and fans have been stunned by Ratcliffe’s claims.
