'Waste of money' - Newcastle fans slam left-sided flyer reportedly due rejoin club in July

Newcastle United fans have been reacting on Twitter after it was reported that Achraf Lazaar will not be signed on a permanent basis by Serie A club Benevento and will rejoin the Tyneside club in July.
The Newcastle Chronicle claims that Lazaar, 26, has been omitted from the Serie A strugglers’ 25-man squad for the second half of the season in the wake of them signing former Manchester City star Bacary Sagna on a free transfer.
It was understood that Benevento had the option to sign Lazaar on a permanent basis, but they seem “certain” to not trigger that agreement after he left manager Roberto De Zerbi unhappy with his performances.
The Morocco international was signed by Newcastle on a five-year deal from Palermo in 2016, but he only managed to make 10 first-team appearances for the North-East club before being sent back to Italy on loan.
The left-sided flyer, who can play at left-back or on the wing, has played just nine times in all competitions for Benevento, scoring one goal, however he has not played since November and it appears he will not play for the Serie A club again.
Newcastle fans have slammed Lazaar after hearing the reports about his situation in Italy, with many not surprised that he wasn’t able to impress his manager due to his attitude.
Here is a selection of their tweets:
