Injury-prone star Ryan Taylor has been snapped up on a free transfer by League One outfit Port Vale – and Newcastle fans have reacted with delight on Twitter.
The 32-year-old spent six years at St. James’ Park before moving to Hull City last summer, but failed to earn a new contract with the Tigers.
Port Vale announced the signing on their official website, as the free-kick specialist finally ends his search for a new club.
The versatile full back made an impressive 106 league and cup appearances during his time on Tyneside, but injuries prevented the former England Under-21’s international from becoming a regular.
Newcastle fans have reacted on Twitter to the news, with many delighted to see Taylor fit and healthy as he looks to help Bruno Ribiero’s side continue their impressive start.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

The Liverpool-born defender moved to the North East from Wigan in a swap deal that saw Charles N’Zogbia move to the Latics back in 2009.
But after six years with constant injury problems to his knees, Taylor was forced to see out his contract with the Toon before chancing his arm with a short-term deal at Hull.
