Newcastle fans say the same thing about Sandro Tonali after Italy display
Newcastle United supporters were left impressed by Sandro Tonali’s most recent performance for Italy in the international break.
The 24-year-old played the full 90 minutes during Italy’s 4-1 Nations League victory against Israel on Monday (15 October).
The central midfielder had an 88 percent pass completion rate, provided an assist, and made five recoveries in a performance that caught the eye of the Toon Army.
Tonali returned to football in August after a 10-month betting ban and has been working towards full match sharpness since then.
Eddie Howe has featured Tonali in every Premier League fixture since that point, with the midfielder starting the past two games against Man City and Everton.
The Italy international now has a short turnaround to prepare for the return to club football as the Magpies face Brighton on Saturday (19 October).
Sandro Tonali blew away Newcastle United fans
Newcastle fans have passionately supported Tonali throughout his ban and have continued to do so since his return.
Fans claimed he was “physically superior,” while others stated he “looks like a new signing” for the club.
