'Proper underrated', 'Class' - Newcastle fans thrilled with speed machine v Burnley
By Russell Edge
Newcastle United fans turned to social media to pay credit to the performance of winger Christian Atsu in their away defeat to Burnley on Monday night.
The Ghanaian winger continued his run in the first team squad against the Clarets but was unable to make a meaningful contribution as the home side picked up the three points at Turf Moor.
However he impressed the Toon Army with his performance down the left flank, as they took to Twitter to sing his praises despite the result.
Here, Football Insider has rounded up a selection of the supporters’ best tweets:

He impressed enough to convince the club to sign him up on a permanent deal, and he has continued his run in the first team in the top flight this, starting all but one of their 10 league matches with one goal and one assist to his name so far.
He is also an international star for Ghana, having picked up 57 caps for his country.
In other Newcastle United news, the club look set to make a record-breaking bid for an international striker.
