Newcastle told to accept ‘£50m’ Kieran Trippier offer – fans react
Newcastle United have told the club to accept an “excellent” Kieran Trippier offer as Saudi Arabia interest intensifies.
Reports on Thursday (25 July) claimed that an offer had been made for the English right-back, although no price tag was named.
This comes after Football Insider revealed that Newcastle could be tempted to cash in, with multiple enquiries made about his availability since the end of Euro 2024.
Now, fans have called for the club to entertain bids for his signature, listing price tags they would like to arrive for Trippier.
Saudi Arabian clubs are weighing up moves for the defender, with the prospect of a big-money move already floated amongst the supporters.
Newcastle United told to accept ‘excellent’ Kieran Trippier offer
Trippier arrived at St James Park in 2022 and has featured 92 times for the club, but many supporters think he is now past his best.
Last season, he made 39 appearances but was under scrutiny from the supporters, while his performances at the Euros were heavily criticised.
After hearing of the interest from Saudi clubs, fans flooded social media to insist the club cash in on Trippier, with demands ranging between £15million and £60million.
Others simply insisted the club should entertain offers given the state of the current squad, claiming further investment is needed.
