Newcastle United: Eddie Howe clearly planning for life without Tino Livramento after new links
Newcastle United may soon be without Tino Livramento, and Eddie Howe appears to be coming to terms with that eventuality.
Football Insider understands that Livramento’s contract talks have stalled due to Newcastle now being unlikely to qualify for Europe, having dropped to 12th in the Premier League table.
Big-name clubs from all over Europe are keeping tabs on the 23-year-old defender, and while he is more naturally a left-back, injuries at St James’ Park have forced him to adapt to the opposite flank.
That only makes him a more attractive transfer target ahead of the summer transfer window, and with no end in sight with his contract situation, the Magpies may have to be resigned to his impending exit.
He may not be the only concern for Newcastle’s transfer plans.

Due to Newcastle’s failures this season, Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes, Lewis Hall and Anthony Gordon are being linked with moves away, but the club already appear to be worried about Livramento.
Although the talented full-back is contracted at St James’ Park until the summer of 2028, unrest over a new deal could suggest a frustrated move away might be brewing ahead of the summer.
What makes it even more obvious that not all is rosy behind the scenes is the continuous links between Newcastle and other full-backs, with the latest emerging from the Emirates Stadium.

Mick Brown revealed to Football Insider that Howe is a “huge fan” of Ben White, with the Magpies now moving ahead in the race for his signature due to the manager’s major interest.
Newcastle United are already planning moves for new full-backs
White is not the only link.
Wolves are set to be relegated from the Premier League this season, despite a late flurry of positive results, so it only makes sense that clubs are circling for Hugo Bueno.
Mick Brown told Football Insider that Newcastle want to sign Bueno, though there could be quite the battle for his signature once the summer transfer window swings open.
While it would be hugely disappointing for Newcastle fans to see Livramento leave, his injury problems have really left Howe with no other option.
White and Bueno are both very solid options, while there is also talk of a new contract for Kieran Trippier.
