Newcastle United fans rage after ‘disgusting’ Man United twist

Newcastle United fans have been left raging at Man United’s latest transfer news given the low price tag involving Donny van de Beek’s exit.

Reports claimed that United would receive less than £845,000 upfront, with add-ons potentially reaching £4.2million, for a player they spend £35million on.

This comes after the Magpies found themselves at risk of a profit and sustainability breach before they were forced to cash in on academy products Elliot Anderson and Yankuba Minteh.

United, meanwhile, appear to have lost significant amounts of money on a number of investments without any threat of a breach.

On top of the deal for Van de Beek, the likes of Jadon Sancho, Antony and Casemiro all represent expensive deals which are unlikely to turn any profit.

Newcastle United fans slam ‘corrupt’ Man United after latest transfer twist

Despite Newcastle fans’ frustrations, Man United have avoided PSR issues due to their £643.8million total revenue in the financial year ending 2023, and the amortisation of transfers.

However, that has not stopped rival supporters from questioning their business, with Man United described as “corrupt” and part of a “cartel”.

Other supporters called for the Premier League to change their rules, with the current situation a “huge mess”.
