Newcastle United news: Pundit issues 'nightmare' Dominic Calvert-Lewin claim after source's transfer update
Kevin Campbell suspects Everton may cash in on Dominic Calvert-Lewin after “a nightmare season” for the Newcastle United target.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Toffees captain claimed the club may see Calvert-Lewin, 25, as disposable thuis summer.
Arsenal and Newcastle United are keeping tabs on the centre-forward with a view to signing him in the next window.
A recruitment source told Football Insider (27 April) that Calvert-Lewin would favour a move to the Emirates.
Calvert-Lewin has not scored since August in what has been an injury-plagued campaign.
His contract at Goodison Park runs until the end of June 2025.

When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of the striker’s future, Campbell said: “I just think Calvert-Lewin has had a nightmare season.
“He has never been injured like this before. This season has been a write-off, in all honesty. That must have been the worst for him. I’m sure it has been very tough going.
“I think Everton might look at it and go, ‘We need to strengthen in other areas so we are going to cash in.’ You cannot say that’s not an option.
“It is up to the club what they do. I think that’s an option for Everton.”
Calvert-Lewin has made just 14 appearances this season because of injury.
He has missed Frank Lampard’s side’s last two Premier League fixtures and is a doubt for the visit of Chelsea on Sunday.
