Newcastle United and West Ham are eyeing last-ditch moves for Manchester City defender Eliaguim Mangala, according to a reliable journalist.
BBC reporter Simon Stone claimed on his personal Twitter account that Valencia are also keen on tying up a late deal for Mangala, 26, ahead of the 11pm transfer deadline on Wednesday night.
It is understood that talks are underway for the France international to leave the Etihad, with both loan and permanent deals being discussed by the interested trio.

Mangala has found his game-time very limited this season and with Aymeric Laporte arriving at Man City on Tuesday, the Frenchman will no doubt move further down Pep Guardiola’s pecking order.
The former Porto centre-back, who signed for Man City in 2014 for a stunning fee of £34million, has played just 15 times in all competitions this term.
Football Insider verdict
Mangala has not been amazing while at Manchester City – but that does not mean he could no do a solid job at Newcastle or West Ham. For example, just look at Jonny Evans. He was unimpressive at Manchester United but moved to West Brom and had been one of the best centre-backs outside the top six for the last two seasons, leading to interest from Man City and Arsenal. Mangala could be Newcastle or West Ham’s version of Evans. The Frenchman is strong and decent with the ball at his feet. He is also a clear improvement on the current options of both Rafa Benitez and David Moyes.
