‘Newcastle will sell Alexander Isak this season’ after what happened v Palace

Newcastle United supporters have told the club to sell Alexander Isak this season after he was forced off injured against Crystal Palace on Saturday (30 November).

The 25-year-old was replaced by Harvey Barnes in the 22nd minute of the game at Selhurst Park after sustaining a hip injury that he couldn’t run off.

Eddie Howe’s side had led the game 1-0 after an own goal from Marc Guehi, but they were unable to hang on as Daniel Munoz equalised in the 94th minute.

Callum Wilson only just returned to the squad on Monday (25 November) after missing the start of the season due to a back problem, but now the Magpies are dealing with a problem in Isak.

It has been an injury-plagued season for the Sweden international as he missed two games and an international break at the end of September into October due to a broken toe.

Isak has scored five goals in all competitions and provided two assists, but his status for Newcastle’s upcoming game against Liverpool is now up in the air.
