Newcastle work on deal to sign Adrien Rabiot – journalist
Man United and Newcastle are both interested in signing free agent Adrien Rabiot despite an offer from Turkish giants Galatasaray.
According to Rudi Galletti, both clubs remain interested in the 29-year-old central midfielder following his release from Italian giants Juventus.
Rabiot was in talks with fellow Serie A side AC Milan, but the club were unwilling to match the Frenchman’s high wage demands.
Negotiations aren’t tied to the transfer window, since Rabiot is a free agent, he is allowed to join a new club at any time.

Man United and Newcastle battle for Adrien Rabiot
Rabiot played an integral role in Juventus’ 2023-24 campaign, making 35 appearances, 34 of which were from the first whistle.
The appointment of new manager and ex-teammate Thiago Motta wasn’t enough to convince Rabiot to stay at the club he spent five seasons with.

The midfielder was able to put his uncertain club future to one side as he helped his nation reach the Euro 2024 semi-finals, starting in each of their games along the way.
With six league titles under his belt – five with PSG and one with Juventus – either Man United or Newcastle have the opportunity to sign a player with vast amounts of experience.
