No shocks as Rodgers picks the usual suspects for Celtic cup final showdown

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has picked his strongest available side for the Hoops’ Scottish Cup Final against Motherwell at Hampden on Saturday.

The team was announced on the Hoops’ official Twitter account a short time ago.

The only real decision that the Hoops boss had to make was in goals, with both Scott Bain and Craig Gordon in contention, and he decided to pick Gordon, who has been the number one goalkeeper for most of his time in charge of the Hoops.

It is going to be a big day for both Mikael Lustig and Dedryck Boyata, who has both had many critics in the Hoops support this season, and they will be looking to answer their critics by leading the Hoops to the domestic treble for the second season in a row.

Up-front it is no surprise that Moussa Dembele has been selected for the Hoops, as he is the best striker that is currently fit with the club, as Odsonne Edouard has missed out due to a hamstring injury.

It is a sign of how seriously that the Hoops are taking the game that the strongest available side has been selected, and if the Bhoys play to the best of their abilities they should win the cup for the second season in a row.
