Former Leeds striker Noel Whelan has predicted a comfortable victory for the Yorkshire giants against Port Vale on Wednesday evening.
Thomas Christiansen’s side are currently preparing to host the League Two outfit at Elland Road for a League Cup first round clash.
It will be the first time the two clubs have met since March 2008 when both sides played out a 3-3 draw in League One with goals coming from Rui Marques and a Dougie Freedman double for Leeds.
Whelan believes the Elland Road club will have a much easier clash this time around and when asked for his score prediction, he responded via his personal Twitter account with 3-0.

Leeds reached the League Cup’s fifth round in the last campaign, but the first round was not easy for them as they had to rely on a penalty victory over Fleetwood after drawing 2-2 in 120 minutes worth of football.
They will be hoping that they won’t have to go through the same on Wednesday with an important Championship clash coming up against Preston at Elland Road on Saturday.
However, Port Vale, who are led by former midfielder Michael Brown will be looking to achieve a win over his old side.
In other Leeds news, this defender is eligible to play for the Whites on Wednesday evening.
