Christoph Zimmermann is set to become the latest Norwich City star to sign a new deal at the club, Football Insider understands.
The Premier League new boys have tied down a number of their best players to new contracts in recent weeks as reward for winning promotion.
A Norwich source has told Football Insider that Zimmermann, 26, is poised to become the latest to put pen to paper after agreeing the terms of a new four-year contract.
The centre-back still has two years to run on his current deal, but Daniel Farke’s side have offered him a new agreement running until the summer of 2023.
Zimmermann joined Norwich in the summer of 2017 from Borussia Dortmund and he has gone on to make 90 appearances for the Canaries to date.
He started last season as a third choice centre-back, but he fought his way into the side and ended it captaining Norwich to the Championship title and Premier League promotion.
The powerful defender made 45 appearances in all competitions for Norwich last season, chipping in with three goals and he is expected to be play a key role for Farke’s side in the Premier League next season.
