‘Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace race to sign Oscar Bobb from what I’m hearing’
Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace are among a number of clubs considering moves to sign Man City winger Oscar Bobb on loan.
That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that both clubs would be “perfect” moves for the 21-year-old.
The Norway international suffered a broken leg last August and featured just four times last season after spending over 200 days on the sidelines.
This comes after Brown told Football Insider on 9 June that Man City will accept loan offers for Bobb as he is not likely to feature in Pep Guardiola’s plans.
Rayan Cherki’s expected arrival from Lyon will only push the winger further down the pecking order, and City are keen for him to play regular Premier League football elsewhere.
Both Palace and Forest are planning to bolster their squads ahead of their respective Europa League and Conference League campaigns and view Bobb as a target.

Man City plan to accept Oscar Bobb offers amid summer overhaul
Brown told Football Insider on 2 June that Man City are planning for a summer overhaul of Guardiola’s squad with multiple incoming and outgoing deals planned.
The former scout who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, has insisted the likes of Palace and Forest have already been made aware of Bobb’s availability.
“A Premier League loan move is exactly what Bobb needs,” he told Football Insider.
“After the injury he had, he has to prove to everybody that he is still capable at this level.
“It’s difficult to come back from something like that, he has some proving to do, but he has to be playing regularly to do it.
“If you take him out of that Man City side and put him in another Premier League team, a Crystal Palace or a Nottingham Forest, it will show where he’s at.
“Palace and Forest are both clubs I’ve heard are having a look at the deal.
“They’re not the only ones, there are a few teams who are interested, so we’ll see what happens.
“But if he gets the opportunity to move on loan to a team like Crystal Palace or Nottingham Forest, it’s one he and City will want to do.
“It makes perfect sense from all perspectives, providing the injury hasn’t caused any long-term issues.
“But that’s up to the clubs to figure out and decide if they want to bring him in.”

Jack Grealish update emerges as Everton and Newcastle race
Bobb may not be the only wide player set to leave the Etihad this summer, amid ongoing speculation about the future of Jack Grealish.
Football Insider revealed on 11 June that both Everton and Newcastle want to sign Grealish and are currently leading the race for his signature.
Overseas clubs are also expected to join the race for the England international, but his wages are set to pose an issue as a loan move is currently most likely.
This comes after Brown told Football Insider on 30 May that Man City will accept loan offers for Grealish, despite their desire to move him on permanently.
