Nottingham Forest fans are delighted with who is close to becoming Ange Postecoglou’s successor at the City Ground.

Postecoglou was sacked as Nottingham Forest manager after just 39 days in charge and no wins in his time at the club.

Chelsea’s 3-0 win at Nottingham Forest sealed Postecoglou’s fate, with the Tricky Trees sitting in the Premier League relegation zone.

It is the second time this season that owner Evangelos Marinakis has decided to change manager after Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked by Nottingham Forest earlier in the campaign.

Sean Dyche ‘set to sign’ Nottingham Forest contract

Former Everton and Burnley boss Sean Dyche is set to become the next Nottingham Forest manager, as per Fabrizio Romano on X [20 October], with an announcement from the club expected imminently.

Dyche has experience managing teams in a relegation battle, and currently Nottingham Forest are in that scenario.

One fan said on social media: “Dyche will make a difference at Nottingham Forest.”

Another clamed: “Big wins lined up already.”

“Perfect manager for Nottingham Forest,” one fan believes.

Another supporter was excited by Dyche’s arrival at Nottingham Forest: “Dyche back in the Premier League? Get ready for pure old-school football and gravelly team talks!“

“Huge coup for Forest, Dyche will do bits there,” a fan claimed.

Another fan thinks the move will reignite Nottingham Forest’s season: “I know he was going to take the job, now watch out for the reincarnation of Nottingham forest.“

Dyche record analysed as Nottingham Forest appointment imminent

Dyche has vast Premier League experience, and has even managed in the Europa League with Burnley, so the appointment in Nottingham Forest’s current predicament does make sense.

After switching styles from Nuno to Postecoglou, Nottingham Forest will revert back to a solid defensive foundation under Dyche.

Dyche is also immediately available after being out of management since January, and so no compensation will have to be paid.

Fulham‘s Marco Silva was a top target, but buying him out of his contract would have cost the club money.
