Nottingham Forest manager Gary Brazil has confirmed that first-team duo Michael Mancienne and Matt Mills are nearing a return from injury.
Mancienne has Nottingham Forest’s last four Championship games with a hamstring injury, while Mills (groin) has been sidelined since the meeting with Bristol City on January 21.
However, as quoted by the club’s official Twitter account, Brazil admitted that the pair were unlikely to play a part in the upcoming clash with Brighton at the City Ground on Saturday.

Brazil also confirmed that another of his key central defenders, Jack Hobbs, would also be out of contention to face Brighton.
Hobbs, 28, has been restricted to just nine league appearances this season, and has not featured since the defeat to Fulham on February 14.
That means Brazil is likely to persist with his makeshift back-four of Eric Lichaj, Joe Worrall, Danny Fox and Dani Pinillos for Saturday’s Championship clash.
However, the news that both Mancienne and Mills could be returning to action with the first-team soon will no doubt delight fans, who have watched their side concede 10 goals from their last four league games.
Nottingham Forest have conceded the second-highest number of goals across the entire second-tier this season (58).
In other Nottingham Forest news, the club have confirmed that this highly-rated 20-year-old has signed a new deal.
